Dalla parola scritta a quella cantata, tra musica e racconto, per dare libero sfogo ai propri sentimenti e guardare in faccia la realtà. Così la storyteller calabrese, originaria di Trebisacce (Cs), Jennifer Iacovino, in arte Jennipher, presenta il suo originale percorso artistico a cui è approdata dopo aver coltivato per anni la passione per la scrittura.
E’ passato tanto tempo dalle prime esperienze, fin dal 2002, con la partecipazione a Telethon su Raiuno, a cui seguirono altre apparizioni su “Casa Raiuno”, “Uno mattina estate” e “New star notte”. sempre sulle reti nazionali. Di recente Jennipher si è ritagliata il suo spazio come speaker radiofonica in Calabria, senza mai mettere da parte lo studio tra la formazione in cantoterapia e un master in vocalità artistica e logopedia. Fino a debuttare oggi come scrittrice e cantautrice attraverso un proprio spazio sul web: la prima canzone “Il tempo di un click” (disponibile sui principali store online) – con gli arrangiamenti curati da Giuseppe Leonetti – nasce, per l’appunto, dal racconto “schiavi del tempo” ed è il primo di una serie di lavori in cui la musica abbraccia le storie scritte e viceversa.
“Ho voluto raccontare, in modo quasi ironico, il continuo voler controllare il tempo che passa, ricalcando un prototipo di vita che non ci appartiene. Ci preoccupiamo di quello che ci dicono gli altri e ci facciamo confondere. Dirci sempre che per ogni cosa c’è un’età, c’è un traguardo a cui arrivare, porta con sé anche l’ansia di non riuscirci”, spiega l’artista calabrese. “Questa canzone nasce dal mio essere stanca nel sentirmi continuamente dire: è tardi. Ma chi lo decide che è tardi? Ci concentriamo sulle considerazioni altrui e sul tempo che passa, ma “l’orologio ci inganna”, corriamo, corriamo e poi? Ci preoccupiamo di correre tutti alla stessa velocità, non considerando “i nostri tempi”, finendo, così, davvero di fare tardi. Più ci adattiamo, più qualcun altro deciderà per noi, togliendoci il gusto di vivere secondo il nostro “click”.
Sul portale www.jennipher.it saranno, quindi, pubblicati canzoni e racconti che viaggiano su un comune binario all’interno del quale “il canto è il filo conduttore di ogni cosa e il palco sicuramente il porto sicuro sul quale affrontare tutte le paure”.
