La 31a edizione di Musicultura – Festival della canzone popolare e d’autore andrà in onda su Rai2 il 3 settembre alle 23.40, con la conduzione di Enrico Ruggeri.

Nella meravigliosa cornice dell’Arena Sferisterio di Macerata si sono esibiti grandi nomi della musica italiana ed internazionale come Asaf Avidan, Massimo Ranieri, Roberto Vecchioni, Tosca, Salvador Sobral (vincitore dell’Eurovision 2017), Frances

co Bianconi, i Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, e il poeta filastrocchiere Bruno Tognolini.

In questa cornice unica e di altissimo livello Fabio Curto si è aggiudicato il primo premio della prestigiosa manifestazione, un grande appuntamento con la musica dal vivo, in particolare con la canzone d’autore e al suo connubio con la parola, la poesia, il teatro.

Una vittoria che è stata dedicata alla sua tenacia e alla forza con la quale in questi anni ha avuto il coraggio di “cambiare rotta” e di non seguire la popolarità e l’occasione data dalla vincita di un talent come “the voice”. Fabio ha deciso di fare la musica che ha sempre sentito dentro, un folk d’autore appassionato e denso di ispirazione e significato.

Il Cantautore calabrese ha trionfato con il brano ‘Domenica’, una ballata intensa e malinconica che incarna la migliore tradizione melodica italiana.

In conferenza stampa dice: “era il mio sogno nel cassetto, anche se dopo aver vinto The Voice nel 2015, catapultato in un mondo che non era il mio, ero indeciso se partecipare. Ma in fondo non mi è mai interessato vincere, ma far capire quanto amore metto in quello che faccio. Ho scritto il brano due anni fa in inglese, canticchiando una melodia che riassumeva le sensazioni della domenica con le famiglie riunite per strada. E’ una giornata che ho sempre amato fin da bambino, e in cui le persone sono anche più educate”.

Musicultura rappresenta per Fabio la consacrazione verso un pubblico attento e di critici musicali, affermandosi come uno dei più interessanti cantautori italiani.

Fabio Curto, che oltre a essere un cantante, è un autore anche per altri artisti, nonchè un polistrumentista, che suona quasi tutti gli strumenti presenti nei suoi album. Il progetto di Fabio Curto è una collaborazione tra l’Emilia Romagna con “Fonoprint” e la Calabria con “Calabria Sona” e “Marasco Comunicazione”, due realtà che hanno sempre creduto nel talento e che va ben oltre al personaggio televisivo di Fabio.

Fabio nelle settimane scorse, a testimonianza del suo grande legame con la Calabria, ha dedicato un brano alla sua terra dal titolo “l’altopiano” con un video clip suggestivo e struggente girato sui monti della Sila; sta realizzando inoltre un progetto televisivo in onda su Video Calabria alla scoperta di posti incantanti e sperduti della nostra Regione dal titolo “terra mia”.
