La serata finale del Gran Premio Manente si è svolta a porte chiuse al teatro Filottete di Cirò, in accordo con l’amministrazione comunale, per garantire la massima tutela e attenzione alla salute pubblica in questo particolare momento. Una vetrina importante per le cinque realtà musicali che si sono contesi i premi mirati a valorizzare i giovani artisti e a sostenere la loro crescita. Talenti esordienti della nostra terra ed impegnati in generi musicali anche molto diversi tra loro. “La musica e la cultura stanno pagando un duro prezzo, si aprono e si vietano gli eventi con troppa semplicità e senza una visione, quasi premendo un tasto “On, Off”: è questa la voce degli organizzatori del premio, Associazione CULT, Calabria Sona e Marasco Comunicazione. “Il mondo della musica merita più rispetto e considerazione, siamo in una crisi profonda e necessitiamo di maggiore ascolto e sostegno. Con tanti sacrifici e scrupoli siamo stati “On” per questa edizione, ma non possiamo certamente essere felici, se non per i giovani artisti che hanno potuto godere di questa opportunità”. La finale è diventata un appuntamento televisivo presto in onda e disponibile su tutte le piattaforme social e promozionali del circuito Calabria Sona.

Il Premio Manente “Off” è stato consegnato a L’ennesimo: Una borsa di studio del valore di 10mila euro messa a disposizione dal Nuovo Imaie per la realizzazione di un tour nazionale. A consegnare il premio il Vice Sindaco di Crucoli, Giuseppe Liotti.
Premio Dei Premi ai Free Love che potranno partecipare all’omonimo evento di Faenza, alla presenza dei vincitori dei premi/concorsi nazionali dedicati a grandi cantautori e artisti italiani. Ogni anno l’evento si svolge a Faenza durante il Meeting delle etichette indipendenti davanti a numerosi giornalisti musicali. Inoltre, per loro, un contratto discografico e di booking con Marasco Comunicazione e Italysona. A consegnare il Premio l’Assessore Cataldo Scarola del Comune di Cirò.
Il premio “giovani” agli Anni Veloci, per la produzione del loro primo lavoro discografico.

L’ennesimo è Paolo Pasqua da Cosenza che nel 2016 inizia, tra le strade e nelle villette della sua città, a scrivere le prime canzoni in italiano, affascinato della scena musicale italiana degli ultimi anni si ispira liberamente a cantautori e band del momento come Lo Stato Sociale, Calcutta, I Cani, ma anche a cantautori più classici come Battiato e Lucio Dalla. L’ennesimo suona con Gazzelle il 22 novembre a Rende come opening e in diversi altri festival della Calabria per poi andare, nel 2018, a vivere e lavorare per 8 mesi in Irlanda…Ma non riesce a stare troppo lontano dalla sua terra, torna con una nuova esperienza e tante nuove canzoni nello zaino.

Dalla passione innata per la musica di Michele Mirabelli, Anna Francesca Ripoli e Domenico Sposato, nascono ufficialmente nel gennaio 2011 i Free Love. Le loro voci si fondono in una, con miscele di rock, blues e pop-lirico. I Free Love vantano partecipazioni a svariati concorsi e festival nazionali, piazzandosi sempre nei primi posti. Molto attivi nei locali della zona, stanno man mano componendo i loro brani originali per raccontare in musica la loro terra.

Ha perfezionato sin da bambino l’utilizzo di strumenti della tradizione popolare integrati con 9 anni di corso di pianoforte e solfeggio e 3 anni di scuola canto presso Soverato music Company. Si è specializzato nell’organetto diatonico e negli strumenti a fiato. Ha collaborato con Ciccio Nucera, Antonio grosso, Dionesis, Antigua, Lisarusa come polistrumentista e voce. Oggi le sue canzoni tra pop, tradizione e uso del dialetto come espressione cantautorale sono molto conosciute e cantate da tutti.
Francesco Morrone
Francesco Morrone, cantautore e polistrumentista di grande talento originario di Montalto Uffugo, arriva da tante esperienze, ma quella che l’ha più segnato è sicuramente la sua lunga pedalata su e giù per l’Italia con la sua inseparabile bicicletta e la sua chitarra, condividendo le sue emozioni. Nelle piazze, tra la gente, con l’intento di promuovere e far conoscere la sua musica. Il viaggio musicale parte molto presto, infatti Francesco prima studia all’Accademia Caccini di San Fili a Cosenza, poi si trasferisce per un breve periodo a Roma dove incomincia a suonare anche per le strade.
