La musica può fare a meno dell’orologio e del passaporto. Così succede che si parta dalla Sicilia, si attraversi il Brasile e i luoghi più malfamati del mondo, per arrivare infine a raccontare l’uomo: della sua ricerca della libertà, del disagio di vivere una vita scandita da tempi veloci, della decadenza dell’umanità e della necessità di tornare a quello che era, aggrappandosi alla tradizione quasi come fosse salvifica.
Tutto questo è FORA TEMPU (Italysona), il nuovo lavoro discografico dei Lautari, l’ottavo di questa band catanese di culto. Un disco che arriva a nove anni di distanza dal precedente e che è stato anticipato dal singolo e dal video del brano che dà il titolo all’album.
FORA TEMPU è un invito a prendersi i propri tempi in un’era in cui tutto si misura con l’efficienza e il guadagno. “Ci piace pensare a quel che facciamo – dicono i membri del gruppo – come a un lavoro artigianale che sta scomparendo, come, per esempio, quello dei liutai di una volta (a Catania c’era una grande tradizione di liuteria) che per costruire una chitarra o un mandolino impiegavano anni, ma che alla fine potevano davvero garantire che il lavoro era fatto bene”.
